Service Description

Family therapy is offered in conjunction with individual therapy when the individual is an adolescent. This purpose is to periodically help support the adolescent and foster communication amongst the adolescent and the rest of the family. Typically this includes only parents unless it is also clear a sibling may need to be included in the family session as well. The main focus is on the adolescent. The clinician may also offer a separate parent session when appropriate.
