So you are looking for a little about me...okay... My name is Delton Doucet...I'm 41 years YOUNG now that's me there...that pic was taken about 3 years ago in Houston on a trip...that's my Mustang GT...a few months after I finally got it...I had dreamed of getting one since I was a little boy when I first saw a Mustang Cobra when I was 7... I'm engaged to my beautiful fiancee Michelle... and the father of 4 wonderful kids…well I say kids, 3 are in college: one in high school .... and now a grandson to spoil! The start of the 21st century was not very good to me...my dad died 5 days before his 55th birthday in December of 2001 which happened to also be my oldest sons 8th birthday...10 months later my wife at the time decided she wanted a divorce which blindsided me... Then the next few years was just one bad series of events after the other that came to a peak with Hurricanes Katrina and Rita slamming my state a month apart which Rita decided she wanted my house in 2005... It was also during this time that I had just started really getting into self development and motivational courses through books, cds, and articles and videos and I remember sitting down one evening around August of 2006 and really started applying everything I was learning and wrote out my goals... Within the next 9 months after writing down my goals, focusing on the things that I wanted and taking action everyday working towards those goals things started to turn around for me especially by May of 2007 when I got the car of my dreams from when I was a kid and met my now fiancee... The thing was I didn't stress over how I was going to start accomplishing my goals...I just made a plan and started working that plan a little everyday with the confidence that some how some way things were going to come together and things did start coming together... Today I'm still working that goal list...scratching accomplishments off, adding new ones on and still working on long term goals...and just like I did...you can turn your life around... If I can do it so can you!
